Salman Khan Super
Star Jai Ho, that was required to receive
a roaring start, frustrated every person with not so big box office collection
on its opening weekend.
Reportedly made on a budget
of Rs.75 crore, Jai Ho hit about
4,500 screens in India. Jai Ho has collected Rs.60 crore in the country on its opening weekend,
according to business analyst Taran Adarsh.
The movie earned Rs.17.75
crore on Friday, Rs.16.68 crore
on Saturday and the commerce jumped
on Sunday with a collection of Rs.26.25
crore.
The business sector
of the movie is good but considering that it is a Salman Khan make public that too after one year the expectance were
very high. Every person from Salman Khan
Fans to industry insiders was expecting that the pictures will break before
records.
Directed by Salman's
brother Sohail, the film, which also stars beginner Daisy Shah along with Tabu and Danny Denzongpa, is a political thriller with a bulky dose of
action sequences featuring Salman.
Coincidentally, Salman's
super hits "Wanted", "Dabangg", "Dabangg 2"
and "Ek Tha Tiger" - were
all action-packed dramatics. And "Jai
Ho" too belongs to the similar category.
Puneet Sahay of
Spice Cinemas says audiences are not so agitated about the movie because of the
same style.
"Going by the presentation, 'Jai Ho' will perhaps touch Rs.100
crore in a week, but not in the first three days of its make public. Some public
from the interview said that it's repetitive. People are most likely fed up of
the reality that he is continually doing action movies," said Sahay.
A lot depends on how the movie fares on weekdays.
